Challenge

The constraint

Kellermann needed a recycled-content workwear line for a client contract, with logo embroidery applied identically across every garment and a complete compliance file ready before an end-customer safety audit. The previous supplier had delivered the garments but not the chain-of-custody paperwork, which put the recycled claim — and the contract — at risk.

Approach

What we did

We sourced GRS-certified fabric through two audited mills, collecting transaction certificates at each transfer point rather than after despatch. Cutting, sewing and bartack reinforcement ran on our workwear lines, and all logo embroidery was digitised and stitched in-house so registration, tension and hand-feel were controlled by one team. The compliance pack — GRS certificates, fabric test reports, AQL inspection report and social audit record — was assembled in parallel with production rather than at the end. Fabric arrived in week two, bulk sewing ran weeks three to five, and inspection and packing closed in week six.

Result

What it delivered

Six thousand units were delivered ten days ahead of the audit date. Embroidery registration held across the entire run, final AQL 2.5 inspection recorded a defect rate below 1%, and the compliance pack was accepted by the auditor without a single follow-up request. Kellermann has re-ordered the programme in each subsequent contract cycle.
