Challenge

The constraint

Arkona had an engaged audience and a clear product idea but no manufacturing relationship. Every clothing manufacturer they approached quoted minimums of 300 to 500 pieces per colourway, which meant financing several thousand units of unproven stock before a single sale.

Approach

What we did

We launched the brand at 30 pieces per style and colour, developing four styles across three colourways from a single fabric platform to keep sampling costs contained. Woven neck labels, care labels, hangtags and recycled polybags were applied in finishing so the product shipped fully branded from the first unit. The sealed reference, graded pattern and approved lab dips were archived, so as volumes grew from 30 pieces to 300 to full container quantities, the product itself never changed. Sampling took three weeks; the first production run shipped fifteen days after approval.

Result

What it delivered

Arkona sold through the launch run in under six weeks, re-ordered at ten times the volume, and reached container-scale ordering within two seasons. Fit, shade and construction matched the original sealed sample at every step, so returns stayed low and the brand never had to explain a change to its customers.
